wearable

head adornment

I used fine silver gallery wire to create several of the hair pins featured in this section. All of these were made for brides. The crown was made while I was attending graduate school in Boston and researching wedding regalia and traditions.

I made the circuit board set for a recycled wearable exhibition at the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco.

rings

The grouping of yellow bronze rings are examples from my wax carving unit where i teach students to create classic styles like signets and initial bands. I cover additive, subtractive, and free form melting techniques to ensure that students have a strong foundation in wax working to create their own designs. See the video below to learn how to make your own wax ring.

The bobbles on these rings were made with glass and clay. I used minor burners to sculpt the glass and the sgraffito carving technique for the clay pieces. All are mounted on sterling silver bands.
