These narrative pieces are samples from a project I designed for my ceramics students during the covid lockdown in response to the absence of kilns and glazes.

They are made by pressing found objects such as toys and dollhouse furniture into clay and pouring plaster of Paris into the contained area and then painted with acrylic paints after the plaster was set any dry.

This collection of selected works includes traditional in-process pieces from my drawing and painting classes as well as some colorful digital drawings of animals I use in a line of greeting cards I co-create with my business partner.

Most of my drawings are done digitally on my ipad. My process usually starts with a traditional media drawing in pencil or charcoal and then I colored it using the procreate. app.
